GALLERY 140: BLACK CROWNED NIGHT HERON
The Black Crowned Night Heron is a medium to small sized heron, considerably more secretive when compared to the larger waders. These birds can be photographed at close range in Florida and at the National Zoo in Washington DC where a rookery exists.
I hope to be able to photograph this species more extensively in the future.
