GALLERY 15: WOLF
The wolf is an iconic subject, the mammalian representative of all that is wild in our northern woods. Although historically harrassed, hunted, and often misunderstood, the wolf currently enjoys a come back in popularity. The most noteworthy wolf success story is the recent reintroduction of a pack at Yellowstone National Park. I have the upmost admiration and respect for those who have the time, and field skills, to photograph wolves in the wild. Close up images of truly wild wolves are exceedingly difficult to make. Like most wolf images appearing in books and magazines, the images shown here were made with animal models or wolves at a rehabilitation center under study or soon to be released into the wild.
