GALLERY 19: Bobcat
As with wolves, it is very difficult to make close up images of large cats in the wild. This is due their low numbers, secretive habits, and generalized fear of humans. I have on several occasions spotted bobcat in the wild but to date never has this resulted in a decent photograph. The last such spotting was in California several years ago. The bobcat appeared and disappeared inside of one minute. I have the upmost admiration and respect for those with sufficient time and the required field skills to make images of large cats in the wild.
As is the case with the majority of bobcat images appearing in print, these photographs, however, are of model animals.
