GALLERY 201: BARRED OWLS 2014
2014 was the year of the owl in Minnesota. A never before seen Snowy Owl irruption filled the winter months with great image making. A small group of local photographers banded together and continued photographing the other local species. One of my friends was very passionate about finding and photographing barred owls including young. In the end, we were able to very carefully watch two cavities which produced two owlets each and we caught up with a singleton and a group of triplets in two other parks soon after they had left their nests. Thousands of images were made but these are my favorite thirty.
