GALLERY 208: BARRED OWLS 2015
2015 was another interesting year for following the local owls. The 2014 season provided several nests with multiple pairs of adults and many owlets to photograph. One of the nest trees from 2014 went over in a storm and did not produce in 2015. Another nest site in a State Park became so well known that it was difficult to visit the owls in the absence of a large crowd of other people. The third site produced three owlets in 2014 but only a singlet in 2015. I was able to get a number of adult pictures here as the adult male was very attentive to his family. Also included here are photographs of owls from the Corkscrew Sanctuary near Naples, Florida.
