GALLERY 211: Great Gray Owl
There is an area west of Duluth, on the iron range which is referred to as THE BOG by local people. This is an area with good habitat for Great Gray Owls. Some resident owls nest in this area. This area also attracts large numbers of owls during irruption years, which we have not seen for this species in over ten years.
