GALLERY 32: NORTHERN FUR SEAL
Thousands of Northern Fur Seals haul out on the rocky coasts of St. Paul Island Alaska every summer. The females haul out to give birth to the pups. A few weeks later, the females will breed with the bulls before the entire group again leaves for solitary life at sea. The Fur Seal rookery on St. Paul Island is the largest marine mammal rookery in the world.
